We're Here to Help You Every Step of the Way
We've created this extended FAQ to answer your most common questions and save you time. But don't worry—if you need more help, our team is always just a message away, ready to guide you through our proven process with personalized support.
Can I just do this myself?
Absolutely, you can try! We’ve had clients who spent weeks away from work and family, only to get stuck on the complex paperwork needed to track down their assets.
At Brookstone Recovery, we take a different approach: using a combination of public records, government databases, and private tracking tools to help locate the assets legally owed to you. Every case is unique, so we tailor our approach to get the best possible results. While it’s possible to search on your own, we’re here to save you time, effort, and frustration—so you can focus on what really matters to you. And we’ll take care of the rest.
How much do your services cost?
We don’t get paid until you get paid.
We believe in keeping things simple and straightforward. Our fees are based on a percentage of what we recover for you—so if we don’t find anything, you don’t pay a cent. We’re here to work for you, and our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.
What types of assets can you help me recover?
From unclaimed bank accounts and forgotten retirement funds to life insurance policies, inheritances, and even uncollected real estate, we’ve seen it all. If it’s out there and it’s owed to you, we’ll do our best to track it down and bring it back where it belongs!
What is the status of my claim?
In many states, you can quickly check the status of your claim through the state's dedicated website. However, at Brookstone Recovery, we understand the frustration of navigating these systems and wasting time on hold. That's why we actively monitor the progress of your claim on your behalf, ensuring you never have to chase down updates. Transparency is at the core of our values, and we’re committed to keeping you fully informed, providing you with the confidence and peace of mind you deserve throughout the process.
Do I have to give my Social Security Number?
It depends. Entering your Social Security Number (SSN) is required based on the state in which you are claiming property. Most states will ask for your SSN before processing your claim. Providing your SSN when filing your claim may also make you eligible for expedited claim processing, which is offered by some states. Brookstone Recovery ensures the safety of your personal information by using advanced industry-standard encryption. Once your information is submitted to the relevant state, it is permanently removed from the Brookstone Recovery site, ensuring your privacy is protected.
How long does the process take to recover my assets?
We pride ourselves on getting the asset recovery process started within 7 business days. While the timeline for payment can vary depending on the type of claim and the time it takes to finalize the signature, we'll keep you updated every step of the way. At Brookstone, transparency is one of our core values, so you’ll always know where things stand—whether the recovery is quick or takes a bit longer.
Our commitment to you is that you will be aware and in the know- every step of the way.
